SERGEANT NPC CONTACT

[cartesio]

The Lodge is located on the hills near the town, large and strange. It contrasts a lot when compared to the rest of the town -- its gray and white walls are quite the change from the vibrant and colorful Cartesio, the plants and bushes that are planted on the lower levels of the Lodge only make the contrast more obvious. There are many windows, but no matter how much you look you don't see anyone passing behind them. If you didn't know better you'd think it was completely empty.

But it isn't empty. The Sergeant is there.

You won't get too far into the Lodge before you encounter the Sergeant. There he is in the lobby, standing in front of a door that leads deeper into the building. No matter at what time you come or what you do, he'll always be there, reading self-help books, or with a mirror, practicing his next speech/confrontation. When he's not facing all of you at once, he seems to be easier to talk with.

I just don't have the means to travel by myself.

[That could mean a lot of things. Lack of money, or something tying him somewhere, or just a wish to not travel by himself...it could mean anything and he doesn't seem interested in explaining further]

[clearities]

I see. [ She'll drop it for the time being, but Sakura will remember that. ] I think I've asked you a lot already today. Um... if there's anything you want to ask me in return, I'm always willing to answer! [ She thinks it's only fair. ] Although I'm not really sure how much I can answer, though, since I'm still just a kid, but if it's something that I can do, then I want to at least try.

[cartesio]

I do have a question for you: are you asking me questions to try to get me to slip?

[Apparently that's on the forefront of his mind]

[clearities]

... no? [ She doesn't sound like she's lying, it's more that she's confused by the question itself. ] I was asking... because I wanted to understand you a little better.

[cartesio]

[That seems to be enough for him. She's truly genuine and without ulterior motives. Oh dear god]

...okay, having you stay here in this town was a mistake. My bad.

[He comments, and changes topics]

This is your first time out of home?

[clearities]

Ho~e?

[ She's confused again for a moment before he changes the topic. ]

I've been outside the city once with my family, but we didn't really go out that far. At least, not as far as this.

[cartesio]

So this is your first time out of Japan -- leaving aside the part that you're not currently in your world.

[Pretty depressing first outing, if you ask him]

[clearities]

Mmhm. I always thought that maybe my first trip outside of Japan would be Hong Kong...

[ But guess not. ]

[cartesio]

That counts. Hong Kong is rather far from Japan, as far as I know. [Wasn't that in China mainland? He's not certain] That trip wasn't to do anything like what's going on here, I suppose.

[clearities]

Well, I didn't have it planned, but... I was hoping that Syaoran-kun would take me to visit, since I've never seen his home country.
