SERGEANT NPC CONTACT

[cartesio]

The Lodge is located on the hills near the town, large and strange. It contrasts a lot when compared to the rest of the town -- its gray and white walls are quite the change from the vibrant and colorful Cartesio, the plants and bushes that are planted on the lower levels of the Lodge only make the contrast more obvious. There are many windows, but no matter how much you look you don't see anyone passing behind them. If you didn't know better you'd think it was completely empty.

But it isn't empty. The Sergeant is there.

You won't get too far into the Lodge before you encounter the Sergeant. There he is in the lobby, standing in front of a door that leads deeper into the building. No matter at what time you come or what you do, he'll always be there, reading self-help books, or with a mirror, practicing his next speech/confrontation. When he's not facing all of you at once, he seems to be easier to talk with.

After the Monday meeting

[Franciscus enters with a casual stride, as if this is his house.] Have no worries, as of now I do have a question. Sakura mentioned that while she was here you had her personal items under lock and key. Is that where all of our items are now?

[cartesio]

[The Sergeant looks up from the book. Hi, Franciscus. He looks down again, seemingly having gotten interrupted from a particularly important paragraph. He mumbles, pointing at behind himself with a thumb]

Mmm, yeah, it's all in there. Not right behind the door, but it's past them.

[No surprise there, from the outside it's clear the Lodge is a rather large building]

[ oda's not sure what pulls him towards the lodge. sure, he could get information from the townspeople but...maybe it's better to get it from the source himself.

he's not nervous. he's way past that, after everything that has happened to him. ]

Sir, it's Sakunosuke Oda. Are you busy?

I have too much free time in my hands.

[In other words, nope, not busy at all. He closes the book]

week 1 - tuesday afternoon

[ Well, Sakura did kind of promise that she was going to make an attempt to talk more with the Sergeant this time around, even though she's a little bit scared because of what he did to Mira-san along with the fact that he's forcing them all to kill. But an attempt is going to be made, regardless. Maybe if they talk about something besides what's happening, she can get... something, at least. But seeing him here, in the lobby, like that is. It's pretty appalling. ] Um, Sergeant-san...? What are you doing? [?????]

[He turns to look at her. The mirror is pushed away, to the wall of the Lodge, he doesn't seem embarrassed]

[Okay, maybe a bit, because he's not immediately forthcoming with his reply]

Week 1; Tuesday

['Sup Sarge. Kino shows up now armed thanks to the hunting store, though there's no intent to start firing. Instead, what Kino brings is a takeout box in a plastic bag.]

I brought rations.

[It's pie. Kino brought lemon pie.]

[The Sergeant didn't expect someone to bring food when talking to him. Yeah, he thinks Kino's going to eat that while they talk]

You all are rather fond of that diner's food, aren't you?

Week 1: Thursday

[So the lodge. Here Keith is at some absurd hour on Thursday morning while everyone should be sleeping because he absolutely has not learned his lesson about breaking and entering except that he should be better equipped. These stealth/infiltration missions are a lot harder when he's actively trying not to stab the people he runs into on the way.....

Fortunately or unfortunately, it looks like the Sergeant's a night owl and while that's annoying, it's not as though Keith doesn't have questions for the guy. First, the dryest greeting ever.]

[Do you know what time is it, Keith? For a moment the Sergeant says nothing, then he shudders and moves. Had he been sleeping while standing up?]

...I know you like causing trouble, but visiting people in the middle of the night is incredibly inconsiderate.

[He does sound annoyed. What's up, Keith?]

[She looks hesitant as she enters into the lodge, arms crossed and a frown on her face. After a quick glance his way, it looks for a moment like she's considering just leaving, but she moves past that to speak up.]

Hey. I had a question.

It must be a rather urgent question if you felt the need to come here.

[He didn't expect it, yup. Ask away, Natalie]

[Well, Franciscus is not quite sure what to feel about the fact that he's apparently been given the dress from last night to keep as a souvenir. Still, the fact that the casino exists makes a few questions come up. He walks in, holding up the card he was given.]

Is there any limit to these? It does not seem to have been mentioned, but the new existence of a casino does make me wonder.

[After receiving the dress upon waking up, there's barely any hesitation before she heads towards the lodge, walking in.]

...Can I ask where you got this?

[The Sergeant recognizes the dress -- he left it not too long ago in Natalie's room, after all. Right...how to explain it...]

...it was given to me. I figured it had some sort of meaning to you.

[Meaning he's not certain about this, because the concept of clothing having significance is lost on him]

Thursday early evening; week 2

[ Bakugou wasn't even intending on actually confronting the man so early on, not without a plan, because even he knew his temper well enough that'd end in disaster.

But, he can reign himself in if he tries. He knows that much.

So, he'll wander deeper into the Lodge, until he encounters the man standing in front of that door that leads deeper into the building. ]

Oi, what the hell's up with that?

[ Ok maybe you're going to have to be a little specific here, Bakugou. Paradoxically, he doesn't sound angry as he asks as much, however. ]

You're going to have to be more specific than that, Katsuki Bakugou.

[The Sergeant keeps his hands behind his back, but he has his guard up. After Katsuki's stellar first impression one week and half ago, he sure is expecting his face to explode]

Week 2 Wednesday Night

[ Yo Sarg, hope you don't mind a late night visitor. Dabi figures you'll be up and if not too bad. He actually came here with a clear purpose in mind, but that's pushed aside as soon as he sees what the Sergeant is doing. Self-help books, really. ]

...you really need help with this whole villain thing.

[cartesio]

[He doesn't even bother to look up]

week 2 - thursday afternoon I WANTED TO DO THIS YESTERDAY but i got tired

[ She did say that she was going to have a talk, so she is here now, although there seems to be a little bit of more purpose in her step. ] .... Sergeant-san? [ Is he busy? Should she come later? She hopes not. ]

[Oh, boy, a talk. The Sergeant greets, not minding her presence]

Thursday Morning

[Franciscus looks slightly grumpy as he enters today.] So, who set up the popcorn machine like that anyways? [His hair is still slightly damp.]

...oh. Oh, right! [The Sergeant laughs, cheerful] Hey, don't look at me like that! That was all the people who own the cinema. Not my fault the felt like making things convoluted -- the hassle they have to go through to get stuff out of that warehouse!

[It's something the Sergeant finds hilarious]

Week 3, Sunday

[Look, maybe the town hates them, but for now they still provide services, so Kino's bringing him a burger stacked with every additional option up for order. Hopefully it isn't too unstable! Though even if it is, not like Kino's the one eating it.]

[The Sergeant accepts it, compressing the burger to the point it may bounce and fly if he lets go]

Week 3: Monday

[As promised, when Keith makes his next appearance at the lodge it's at a civilized hour in the afternoon. This is about all that is civilized though because it turns out he's back for another round of twenty questions.]

It's a little hypocritical to lecture me for taking a police report, when it looks like you've got a few things of mine hidden up your sleeves.

[Blame Kino for telling him about Wednesday...]

[ At this rate, it's kind of like clockwork, coming here on Thursdays. And the fact that she didn't see him after what happened yesterday, while alarming, makes her wonder quite a bit. So she walks in, ready to talk, but is keeping a little cautious. ] Um... Sergeant-san? [ He is here, like always, right? ]

[Hello, Sakura. By now he has gotten used to her visit, so he's not surprised to see her. He waves at her]

[Aside from hassling the Sergeant in a couple of public venues, Millium's largely been ignoring her captor. There are other, better things to do than argue, she thinks – there's pie and ice cream and she's getting by at least okay, all things considered.

She's let four bodies fall and not piped up, no matter how uncomfortable it made her. But this? This will not stand.

Millium slams open the door to the Lodge, and if she weren't so tiny, the fury in her eyes might actually mean something.]

Sarge.

["Friendly" nickname or not, this is not shaping up to be a pleasant conversation, judging by Millium's tone of voice.]

Monday, week 4

[Today, Kino brings in a... powerful looking dish. She seems very proud of herself, which might lend itself to the theory that she is not, in fact, trying to poison the Sergeant.

Perhaps worse than that, she legitimately thinks she did a good job.]

I brought something special today. There's a whole country that made this "Kinoyaki" their signature dish. It was hard to remember exactly how I made it the first time, but I think I got it about right.

[Oh good she improvised even more this time.]

[After a while, Franciscus comes to see the Sergeant, Gerard still following along behind him.] I suppose I should thank you for taking care of Gerard as you promised. Though of course he is better off with me.

[Well this is unexpected. The Sergeant seems unsure what to reply for a moment]

Of course. You did say he's important -- there's no reason not to treat your Pokemon well.
